What damage will be produced when the air compressor don’t have the Thermostatic valve? Let’s have a look.

The compressor will shut down because of the high temperature:

If there is no thermostatic valve, the temperature of lubricating oil at work will rise. Then the high temperature oil will continue being used after recycling to the lubricating system. And the temperature of lubricating oil will continue rising,which makes the load of the compressor increase,increase the frictional loss, decrease the life of equipment, increase the power consumption and enlarge the operation cost. This is a waste of energy.

The thermostatic valve is the part controlling the lubricating oil’s move. If it doesn’t work well,  this will insult in the over-temperature or too-cold of the compressor.

The principle of the thermostatic valve is that the thermal bulb pushes the spring according to the temperature,then make the paraffin open, and that the hot oil enters into the mainframe after cooling by the cooler.

How do you know whether the thermostatic valve is normal or not?

Disassembly the thermostatic valve. Take it into the hot water and then the cold water by the clip. Then see whether the valve can flex normally or not.
