The oil stop valve is the switch to control the main circuit entering into the  screw head. Its main function is: when the air compressor starts ,it will stop too much oil into the host in case of the stall which may cause the air compressor cannot start.;when the air compressor halts, the oil stop valve will cut off the main circuit timely because of the internal pressure’s rising, and prevent the lubricating oil from spraying from the intake valve.

Usually there are two kinds of the oil stop valve:one is the electronic ,the other is the mechanical. When the air compressor starts, the oil stop valve opens and at once provides the oil for the screw head’s cooling. If the oil stop valve doesn’t open,the air compressor’s temperature will rise.  If up to 110 degree,it will stop and raise the alarm. And when the air compressor stops, the oil stop valve will take action.  When we push the stop button,the air compressor unloads and enters the state of the delay shutdown. At the moment that the air compressor stops the oil stop valve closes in case that the internal pressure of oil-gas bucket the push the oil spraying from the the intake valve. From the above, the function of the oil stop valve is mainly to take action when the starting and stopping ,providing the oil for the air compressor at the moment of starting and prevent the internal oil from spraying out.

The main reasons that the oil stop valve cannot open are not-energizing of the solenoid valve, the coil burnout, the paraffin’s sticking , the master controller’s failure and so on. If the oil stop valve cannot open, the air compressor cannot start. Because the host will overload and stop for protection . The failure must be dealt with before the normal operation.
